In a revelation from royal expert Omid Scobie’s forthcoming book “Endgame,” it has been suggested that Prince Harry took the initiative and reached out to King Charles during last Christmas in an attempt to mend fences and foster reconciliation.
According to Scobie, who references a friend of Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex understood the importance of making the first move to facilitate progress in their strained relationship. The reported exchange took place in 2022, as King Charles had not extended any initial gestures towards reconciliation.
Page Six, citing Scobie’s book, reported, “It was an awkward conversation, but he knew if he didn’t make those first steps, there would never be any progress.”
The conversation between father and son is said to have lacked heated arguments or raised voices, but King Charles reportedly maintained a cold and brief demeanor, showing reluctance for an in-depth dialogue.
These revelations surface amid ongoing reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering celebrating Christmas in the UK with the royal family, suggesting a potential desire for familial connection during the festive season.
