A ‘incident’ has prevented a Dutch performer from attending the last rehearsal for Eurovision.
The Dutch singer Joost Klein was unable to take part in either of the two rehearsals that took place prior to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest because of a “incident.”
Our team is now conducting an investigation into a matter that has been brought to our attention and involves the Dutch artist. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which is in charge of organizing the event, issued a statement in which they claimed that he will not be practicing until further notice.
According to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the nature of the “incident” that occurred with Joost Klein has not been disclosed.
In order to evaluate and award scores for the grand final, juries from all around Europe observe the dress rehearsal. However, Klein’s performance from the semi-final will be used as an alternative.
During the process of setting up Klein’s props on stage at the Malmo Arena, a production manager gave the order to remove them from the stage.
Subsequently, his song was left out without any reason, and Israel’s entrant, Eden Golan, who came in second place in the running order, took over his seat.
The song “Europapa” by Klein is one of the most prominent contestants in the competition that is taking place this year. Additionally, it is a tribute to his parents, who both passed away while he was still a child. He made a solemn promise to them that he will take part in Eurovision at some point in the future.
As of this moment, it is not known whether Klein will be performing in the final that will take place on Saturday.
The Israeli solo singer Golan, who is twenty years old, was one of the eight acts that qualified for the final on Thursday. He has now emerged as one of the main contenders that bookies favor to win the competition.
In response to Tel Aviv’s assault on besieged Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of approximately to 35,000 Palestinians, pro-Palestinian activists have turned their attention to Golan as a focal point for their demonstrations. They want Israel to be expelled from Eurovision.
