During the middle of a concert, Lenny Kravitz paused the performance in order to receive a phone call from Denzel Washington.
Before hanging up the phone, the hitmaker from “American Woman” explained to the crowd that he had to call off his performance at “Blue Electric Light” over the weekend because he wanted to meet his “big brother.” They had a brief conversation before he picked up the phone.
“When your brother calls and you’re in the middle of a show,” Lenny wrote in the caption of a video that he posted on his Instagram account in which he highlighted the moment.
The artist, who was sixty years old at the time, came up to his microphone while holding his phone and said to the audience, “I’m sorry, my big brother just called me up on the phone to say hello.”
After that, Lenny moved around the stage while holding his phone up towards the audience. The fans started yelling when the ‘Fly Away’ hitmaker informed them that the 69-year-old actor was on the other end of the queue.
“You all are familiar with Denzel Washington,” he stated.
After that, Lenny made his way over to his cameraman in order to raise the screen and provide the audience with a more intimate view of his renowned caller, who smiled heartily at this audience.
After then, the musician said, “Alright brother, I love you, I’ll call you later.” This was said as he hung up the phone.
