Will Cristiano Ronaldo Retire at Al Nassr? Here’s What We Know

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Future at Al Nassr: A Glimpse into the End of an Era

Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that his playing days might conclude while he’s still with Al Nassr, the Saudi Pro League powerhouse. However, he remains uncertain about the exact timing of his retirement.

In a recent interview with Portuguese TV channel NOW, Ronaldo shared his thoughts on his future. “I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr,” he revealed. Despite the uncertainty, Ronaldo expressed his deep satisfaction with his current club and life in Saudi Arabia. “I’m very happy at this club and I feel good in this country. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” he added.

Ronaldo’s announcement comes on the heels of a significant milestone: the launch of his YouTube channel, which amassed one million subscribers in just 90 minutes, setting a new world record. This rapid success has led some fans to speculate that Ronaldo’s foray into social media might signal plans for his life after football.

At 39, Ronaldo has defied expectations about his longevity in professional football. While many thought he might retire sooner, he continues to play at a high level. However, he has also suggested that fans might not get a clear warning before his final game. “When I leave the national team, I will not tell anyone; it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part,” Ronaldo explained.

Though Ronaldo has achieved legendary status with clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, he has downplayed any immediate aspirations to become a coach. “At the moment, I’m not thinking about being a coach of the first team or any team,” he said. “It doesn’t even cross my mind. I’ve never thought about it. I don’t see my future going through that.”

Instead, Ronaldo’s focus is on contributing to his national team. He is gearing up for upcoming Nations League matches under the guidance of coach Roberto Martinez. “What I want now is to be able to help the national team,” Ronaldo said, emphasizing his commitment to international football.

Looking ahead, Ronaldo hints at exploring opportunities beyond football but remains uncertain about the specifics. “I see myself doing other things outside of football, but only God knows what the future holds,” he said.

As Cristiano Ronaldo approaches the twilight of his illustrious career, his future remains a topic of great interest. Whether he will retire at Al Nassr or explore new ventures, his legacy as one of football’s greatest players is firmly cemented.
